In 2010, promotional email volume from the nation’s top online retailers once again reached a new all-time high. The overall growth in email volume accelerated compared to the increases seen in 2009. Driven by increases in “Black November” messaging, November saw the largest year-over-year increase in email volume, while July saw the smallest. For the fourth year in a row, Cyber Monday was the most popular day to send promotional emails. For the second year in a row, Friday was the most popular day of the week to send emails.
