Responsys is Tops for Sophisticated Marketers According to Latest Evaluation

December 22, 2005 – Redwood City, Calif. – Responsys, a premier provider of on-demand email and lifecycle marketing solutions, today announced that Forrester Research has ranked Responsys a leader in the December 2005 Forrester Wave: Email Marketing Service Providers, Q4 2005. This ranking follows on the heels of the company's number one ranking by JupiterResearch in its October 2005 Email Marketing Buyer's Guide and provides further evidence that Responsys is a leading choice for enterprise or mid-market organizations running sophisticated email marketing programs.

In this evaluation, Responsys ranked number one in the Current Offering and Strategy categories and received top scores for its customer retention, technology platform, and functionality. According to the Email Marketing Service Providers Scorecard Summary: Responsys, Forrester Research, Inc., December 2005, "the vendor's platform has always been strong, and this year, its redesigned interface provides simple access to its capabilities." Furthermore, "the vendor's functionality is complete and is among the leaders in the space. It has a simple dynamic content interface and the most executable reports in the industry."

Citing reasons why Responsys was named tops for sophisticated marketers, Forrester Research noted that Responsys enables easy integration, is a cooperative partner, and works for advanced marketers but is easy enough for basic users, as well.

The Forrester Wave: Email Marketing Service Providers, Q4 2005 is a rigorous and extremely comprehensive evaluation of top email marketing service providers based on revenues, features, market presence, and business strategy. The evaluation process includes an assessment of each vendor's offering across more than 75 different criteria, as well as technology demonstrations, reviews of supporting documentation, and in-depth interviews with key executives and reference customers.
