Responsys is seeking a driven Senior Strategic Consultant to support the company's national Strategic Services organization in the Western Region.
Responsibilities:
In this position, the Senior Strategic Consultant will guide Responsys clients in developing email marketing and lifecycle messaging strategies.
- Developing online marketing strategies for blue chip clients leveraging the email channel
- Traveling to client locations to execute Responsys marketing services offerings including strategic planning workshops, optimization audits and Deliverability audits
- Working with clients to develop, launch, and optimize highly personalized email marketing and lifecycle messaging programs
- Performing detailed analyses across programs, campaigns, and segments and making actionable recommendations for improvement
- Providing clients with tactical recommendations on a variety of topics including creative, deliverability, data hygiene, privacy, segmentation, etc.
- Developing and presenting email marketing “best practices” curriculum to clients; Authoring articles and alerts and presenting at seminars and trade shows
- Supporting Sales and Account Management in reaching aggressive sales targets (i.e. proposal writing, project scoping, presentation of custom solutions, etc.)
Experience:
The qualified candidate will have a minimum of 6 to 8 years experience in direct marketing, online marketing, and/or database marketing, with at least 3 years of experience with the email channel. Previous agency or consulting experience preferred. Also required:
- Current knowledge around email marketing opportunities and challenges including deliverability, creative, segmentation and modeling, privacy and data security, etc.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills (including data mining, and modeling)
- Passion for the online marketing space with a solid understanding of direct marketing principles and research techniques
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with project management and interpersonal communication abilities (ability to produce professional reports and present to senior-level executives within client organizations.)
- Outstanding attention to detail and high personal quality expectations
- Superior computer skills (Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, HTML)
- Self-directed and self-motivated with a demonstrated work ethic and ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
- 4-year BA or BS degree (preferably in Marketing, Business Management, Economics, Statistics or other related coursework)
- Advanced degree preferred (MBA or advanced coursework in statistics)
Reporting Relationship:
The Senior Strategic Consultant will report to the Director of Strategic Services.
