Senior Systems Administrator

We are looking for exceptional System Administrators, with senior level experience, to support our growing production server infrastructure. The ideal candidate is goal-oriented, has the ability to handle interruptions while gracefully switching between several projects, and takes a "work smarter, not harder" approach. This position will lead the production infrastructure deployments in the MTA and LDAP areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure system and network parameters.
  • Monitor system stability and performance.
  • Help develop tools to monitor and maintain systems.
  • Ensure 24x7x365 operation.
  • Rapidly scale systems to meet demand.
  • Write comprehensive documentation.

Requirements:

  • Multiple years of Linux or UNIX system administration experience   required.
  • Background in fast paced production shops (e.g. ISPs, ASPs, etc)   required.
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
  • Knowledge of webservers, firewalls/security, NFS, DNS, MTAs.
  • Programming/scripting ability (bourne, bash, perl, python, ruby).
  • Excellent verbal and written skills with outstanding customer service.
  • Outstanding troubleshooting ability.
