Description:
- Lead effort to enhance current Software Development Process
- Manage the Software Development project through all phases: Scope Definition, Requirements, Evaluation, Design, Development, Testing, Documentation, Implementation and Support.
- Organize the entire project plan: Project Coordination, Scheduling, Resource Management, Status Reporting, Project Documentation, and Identification of new requirements.
- Create and manage project timelines and budgets.
- Make recommendations on how to best approach software, development, and hardware implementations according to business goals.
- Know at all times the health of projects, risks and implementations to timelines.
- Work with Engineering, Product Development, QA, Tech Operations and other departments in multiple locations to resolve resource and schedules conflicts and dependencies.
Qualifications:
- Technical Degree with 7-10 years of Software Project management experience.
- Experience with SaaS/ASP Development
- In-depth knowledge of the Software development Cycle.
- Knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques and tools.
- Ability to relate well with both technical developers and non-technical business-users.
- Demonstrate formal technical project management responsibilities, including the ability to create detailed project plans involving Software Release Management, assess resource allocations per phase/task and apply risk management tools to mitigate risk and manage contingencies.
- Must have in-depth understanding and knowledge of the project management discipline as well as a working knowledge of the following technical disciplines: Databases, App Servers, Java Programming and Web Development.
- Experience with business process analysis and technical requirement documentation.
- Strong Windows, MS-Office and Project Software skills are required.
- Previous technology project management experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of Agile Scrum Development Process is desirable.
- PMP Certification is desirable but not required.
