Senior Platform Software Engineer

The Senior Platform Engineer works on all aspects of Responsys system software efforts including applications, app servers, databases and tools. You'll be responsible for the platform design, stability, performance and tools development. You'll bring proficiency in Java, Linux, Oracle, Java App servers, messaging systems and Linux. You'll have a keen eye for system's architecture and performance.

Responsibilities:

Manage system architecture; improve performance, availability and scalability. Develop monitoring and operational tools.

Requirements:

  • 6-8 years of professional related experience.
  • Deep knowledge of Java and Java Application Servers (JBoss, Tomcat)
  • Deep knowledge of databases (Oracle, MySql)
  • Deep knowledge of Java Messaging Systems
  • Experience with performance analysis, compiler optimization techniques, code instrumentation, CPU profilers and computer simulation models.
  • A strong foundation in networking, including TCP/IP Stacks, IPv6 routing protocols.
  • Excellent architecture and design skills.
  • Experience developing middleware and/or distributed systems.
  • Deep systems level engineering skills.
  • Ability to analyze and understand complex systems.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Minimum of a B.S. in Computer Science or in a related field.
