Sales Engineer

The Sales Engineer will report to the Director of Client Solutions.  This person is deployed as the operational and technical consultant and solution designer for sales opportunities.

Primary Duties:

  • Understand the customer needs and introduce company products as the best solution that addresses that need
  • Present Customized Demos; demonstrate company solutions to prospective customers based on detailed customer requirements
  • Ensure client satisfaction with project deliverables
  • Present Responsys technology infrastructure, including demonstrating deep familiarity with company’s software.
  • Participate or lead operational and technical reviews and due diligence
  • Work with Sales, Account Managers and Operation teams in gathering requirements for clients
  • As an integral member of the sales team, contribute in detailed qualification of opportunities, formulation of strategies and technical approaches, plans for presales campaigns
  • Attain quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management
  • Interface with high-profile clients on  a daily basis
  • Multi-task as required to ensure successful deliverables
  • Ability to respond to RFP’s successfully

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in software sales consulting
  • Online, email or multi-channel marketing experience
  • Possess excellent client-facing skills and experience in dealing with client and technical teams as well as experience in presenting to C-level Executives.
  • Strong understanding of one or more industry segments
  • Ability to identify sales opportunities
  • Solid oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems in varied departmental environments
  • Strong work plan development skills
  • Ability to travel domestically
  • Minimum of 4 years in sales engineering or other relevant experience
