Director of User Experience (UX/UI Lead)

Responsys, the leader in campaign management and marketing automation, is looking for an experienced leader in the UI/UX field to drive the next generations of our solution's interface and usability. This is an incredible opportunity for someone who is skilled at creating intuitive, feature-rich web applications, and who can translate sophisticated requirements for multiple personas into a streamlined and engaging "wow" experience. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of strategy, usability, interaction and visual design, as well as undeniable experience building "best-in-class" applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the priorities and execution plan for building the next generation user interfaces for multiple Responsys products
  • Serve as the UI champion and creative partner for product management and road mapping activities
  • Translate product feature requirements into detailed interaction plans, prototypes, documentation, and specifications for engineering
  • Own the creation and management of personas, workflows, sitemaps, and wireframes to solidify directions, plans and visual design.
  • Publish and maintain consistency of UI framework, style guides, and design patterns
  • Working with marketing and other creative teams, provide a compelling user experience that is true to the Responsys brand and business goals
  • Work collaboratively across company functions including product management, business development, engineering, sales, and the executive team.

Qualifications::
  • The right candidate will have the proven ability to create appealing and usable applications by incorporating great visual design and user experience with Web 2.0 technologies.
  • 10+ years experience in web or software user experience design for top-notch large-scale, high-volume enterprise applications
  • Experience working closely and productively with business and technical teams – balancing the pragmatism required to meet releases timelines with the "big picture" required to build an amazing UI
  • Extensive experience understanding, simplifying, and modeling complex workflows
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and prioritize user objectives, scenarios, competitive differentiation, and usability principles
  • Expertise in interaction design, visual design and understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, Flash, Photoshop and Illustrator. Proven ability to manage the "handoffs" between product, UI, and development groups.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills working within cross-functional teams
  • A knack for balancing multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines
  • Strong passion for creating world-class software and delighting a demanding user base
  • Experience in, and an understanding of the CRM, marketing, or business intelligence landscapes a major plus
