Developer
Responsys currently has multiple opportunities within the Campaign Services Group, which plans, builds, deploys and optimizes complex email-centric marketing programs for Fortune1000 clients.
Locations: San Francisco and Chicago.
Primary Responsibilities
Serve as an integral part of the development team within Campaign Services
Replicate the look and feel of visual mock-ups and implement the intended technical functionality for HTML deliverables
Master basic functionality of the Responsys Interact application including UI features, scripting, database integration, and Web Services
Define requirements in cooperation with account management teams and designers including communicating technical limitations and design alternatives
Consult existing clients, as well as prospective clients on technical and/or complex projects
Participate and/or lead complex integrations with new clients
Coordinate development efforts as necessary with outside contractors and vendors
Provide technical support and maintenance for both internal and external projects
Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure that deliverables meets or exceed client expectations
Author project documentation, implementation guides, and product enhancement requests
Qualifications
A strong attention to detail, the ability to produce high-quality work quickly and error free.
Ability to manage time effectively, understand directions and work independently.
A minimum of 2 years direct interactive development experience
Proficiency in UNIX/Linux shell scripting, SQL, Oracle PL/SQL triggers/procedures,
Solid knowledge of web servers (Apache)
Solid knowledge of HTML (hand code only, no WYSIWYG editors), JavaScript, CSS.
Solid knowledge of current standards and web development techniques (W3C standards)
Solid knowledge of cross-browser and email environments (Firefox, IE, Netscape, AOL)
Proficient ability to do graphics production (Fireworks and Photoshop)
Proficient working knowledge of Fireworks, Photoshop, Dreamweaver (or equivalent)
The following capabilities are ideal, but not required:
UI design experience
Web reporting and analytics experience
API / DB integration experience (eg. web services)
Email program management experience
FLASH (Animation and Action Scripting)
General knowledge of multimedia integration (SWF, AVI, MPG)
