Work closely with the development team managing QA timelines and schedules for the product areas responsible for.
Define review test methodology, test plans and test cases.
Log, review, follow up issues in the bug tracking system.
Be the point of contact for our offshore team in India coordinating QA efforts and deliverables.
Drive automation efforts within the QA team.
Make recommendations for QA process, best practices and other implementation according to business goals
Requirements / Qualification
Around 5 – 7 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance having a thorough understanding of QA methodologies
Should have at least 2 years of experience managing, reviewing and / or coordinating QA efforts with remote QA teams.
Thorough understanding of bug life cycle, having experience reporting, regressing, and reproducing application issues with one or more bug tracking tools.
Experience with Automation script development, metrics gathering and reporting - Mercury Quick Test Professional is a plus
Knowledge of J2EE architecture and experience testing in a clustered multi-tiered environment with regular customer releases.
Experience in startup environment, ability to test without complete documentation and with short release cycles.
Experience with rapid development methodology involving agile / scrum process
Possess strong organizational skills, multi task, team player with proven ability to interface with fast paced development teams and mentor junior QA members
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Degree in computer / technology related curriculum or equivalent
