Responsys is looking for a passionate and seasoned social media professional with proven experience driving ROI through this channel. As a Social Media Consultant, you will work directly with clients to create social strategies and value propositions that drive high-impact results. Ideal candidates will have deep interactive marketing experience, cross-media know-how and a drive to innovate new opportunities in the social media space.
Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive social media strategies, leveraging the major social networks (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, MySpace, etc.), blogs, video, and stand-alone social networks for our clients
Define key performance metrics and track client’s ROI through all social channels
Collaborate with email strategist to develop comprehensive cross-channel contact strategies for all digital communication. This includes segmentation and targeting strategies.
Understand the client’s competitive landscape, interactive advertising trends and program objectives and effectively translate this intelligence into specific actionable programs.
Serve as the Social Media Expert for sales and clients. Fully grasp and evangelize the Responsys Cross-Channel value proposition; actively participates in the communication of product features and benefits to internal and external audiences.
Provide thought leadership on behalf of Responsys through published articles, client webinars and speaking at industry events.
Experience:
The qualified candidate will have a minimum of 6 to 8 years experience in interactive marketing with at least 2 years of experience focused on social media. Previous agency or consulting experience preferred. Also required:
Deep understanding of social media strategies and social media protocol
Solid grasp of social media trends and industry topics as it relates to driving ROI for online business; ability to quickly grasp the implications of those trends and translate into strategic recommendations.
Current knowledge around email marketing strategies and best practices
Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills (including data mining, and modeling)
Passion for the online marketing space with a solid understanding of ROI modeling and interactive KPIs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with project management and interpersonal communication abilities (ability to produce professional reports and present to senior-level executives within client organizations.)
Outstanding attention to detail and high personal quality expectations
Ability to work collaboratively with marketing, sales, operations, product development and other cross-functional groups.
Superior computer skills (Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, HTML)
Self-directed and self-motivated with a demonstrated work ethic and ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
4-year BA or BS degree (preferably in Marketing, Business Management, Economics, Statistics or other related coursework)
Reporting Relationship:
The Social Media Consultant will report to the VP of Strategic Services. Ideal candidates will work from one of our services offices located in San Francisco, Chicago or New York – however remote employees will be considered.
