Product Marketing Manager

Responsys is looking for a Product Marketing Manager responsible for everything ‘customer.’ The person in this role will develop and maintain a repository of strategic customer knowledge, work with the global marketing team to promote customer success programs to the right prospects and customers at the right time, and support the new and install-base sales teams to win business. This individual must have a passion for fostering customer relationships, possess a strong product sensibility, and be an adept writer and communicator. Your responsibilities will include market segmentation, business case development for new product and market opportunities, product positioning, and defining and tracking product and business success metrics. This position requires an individual that can work closely and collaboratively with a cross-functional team that includes product management, strategic services, public relations, global marketing, and sales.


Responsibilities:
  • Publish monthly case studies and a quarterly summary of customer success.
  • Provide editorial oversight for the inclusion of customer-related assets in marketing and sales materials (online content, emails, event presentations, etc).
  • Deliver sales tools and materials in support of global sales efforts (presentations, collateral, online content, calculators, etc.)
  • Oversee the creation of customer reference videos as part of a library of customer success (testimonials, quotes, ROI metrics, etc).
  • Define product and segment specific research to understand customer satisfaction drivers.
  • Track customer feedback, customer care, customer satisfaction, dashboards and metrics to measure customer success, engagement, and product usage.
  • Engage with customers to understand best practices and pitfalls.
  • Evangelize success stories to prospects, customers, analysts, and press.

Experience, Qualifications & Skills:
  • 8-10 years of total business experience
  • 5-7 years in product marketing, product strategy or management consulting, with track record of accomplishment.
  • Proven success in a fast-paced, matrixed work environment. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly changing and highly competitive industry.
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills. Ability to tell a clear, compelling story in slides and prose.
  • Self-starter that is comfortable with risk-taking, lack of structure, and interpersonal diplomacy.
  • Methodical and organized - able to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently in a highly dynamic startup environment.
  • Good sense of humor.
  • BA/BS required, MBA strongly preferred
