If your links are all appearing blue, here is the work-around. Simply add a tag with the color directly inside the <a> tag. Example: <a href="#" style="color:#808080; text-decoration:none;"><span style="color:#808080;">Link</span></a> Happy coding! :) | |

I have a quick question. Have you noticed how Yahoo is underlining their own words such as healthy recipe and tablespoon in the Tablespoon "without yahoo code" creative? We have a lot of complaints on this because the recipient will click on them taking them to competitor sites and loosing clicks for our clients. We have tried contacting yahoo about this but no luck. Any idea how to stop it?

Unfortunately, we haven't found a way to prevent that from happening. If we do, I'll be sure to post a new blog! :)

I have noticed this too. During testing if I notice important links that they are underlining/linking I just go and link them in my html. They always find new ones to underline but if you link the most importatn words in your email you will get less clicks to alternate sites. It's definitely a shame that they are doing this.

There are certain keyphrases or keywords that Yahoo will find within the email and link to. There's pretty much nothing you can do about it unless you make every bit of text an image -- but this will likely lower your deliverability rates. It's just the nature of the Yahoo-beast, unfortunately.

@Bryan - yeah thats what we have been telling our clients to do. I hate the hack but their fine with it for now. I've emailed Yahoo and i get a reminder every 24 hours that they'll respond within 24 hours. I'll keep knocking on their door.
